The scenarios recreate the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, and are set in 1992, the year of the riots in California due to the Rodney King issue. In this context, we'll explore an open world with total freedom of movements being able to do almost anything: drive stolen cars, attack pedestrians, go to the gym, eat burgers, go out with girls... all the latter apart from the missions we'll have to fulfill, divided into three blocks (one per city).
One of the features that we miss the most is the possibility to make the most of our smartphone's connectivity, offering us some kind of online multiplayer mode. In any case, that doesn't mean that the game is less interesting as it's still considered one of the most important action games of all time. Who knows if we'll soon see a film based on the game, something like San Andreas: The Movie.
